The first mention of wisdom in the Bible referred to some men whom God filled with a “spirit of wisdom.”
This message uses the story of Chester Bedell, an infidel who had said before he died that, “If there is a God, let there be snakes on my grave.” William Smith wisely confronted not only Bedell, but Bedell’s teachings, which had a stranglehold on an entire area of Ohio.
You need a spirit of wisdom:
- So you can foresee problems before they happen so they can be avoided.
- So you can find the seed of offense and root of bitterness behind most conflicts people have.
- So you can have a good relationship with your adult children.
- So you can confront people properly and successfully deal with major problems.
